TAG Heuer

In 1860 Edouard Heuer founded his watch company and in 1985 merged with TAG Group to become TAG Heuer. Heuer was a trusted timekeeper in space and on the racetrack. Heuers were popular with race car drivers from the 1955s to the 1970s. Heuer was the first Swiss watch in space in 1962 and used by John Glenn as he orbited the earth - it was the back-up clock for the mission.

One of TAG Heuer’s most iconic watches is perhaps The Heuer Monaco first produced in 1969 in honour of the Monaco Grand Prix and made famous by Steve McQueen in the film Le Mans. It was a revolutionary design at the time being the first automatic and first square-cased chronograph.  Other well-loved TAG Heuers include: Carrera, Grand Carrera, Formula 1, Aquaracer, and Heuer Heritage
