The Le Brassus watchmaker has added a number of new models to its Royal Oak collection, all featuring a distinctive green dial. The elegant new releases on offer are three new Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon variants in pink gold or titanium, a 950 platinum Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin and a limited-edition 18-carat yellow gold Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph.
Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon
This collection is a fine example of Audemars Piguet’s skill and engineering. The three new models showcase their craft and renowned hand-finishing and offer views of the escapement, regulating organ and cage in motion. This is different from a conventional tourbillon and made possible by removing the upper bridge normally in the flying tourbillon.
Each new model is presented in a 41mm case and is endowed with a green sunburst Tapisserie dial emanating from the flying tourbillon cage. The sapphire caseback reveals the brand’s latest generation of selfwinding flying tourbillon movement, Calibre 2950, and its dedicated oscillating weight echoing the case’s colour.
The Ref. 26533OR.OO.1220OR.01 features an 18-carat pink gold case and bracelet with only 10 items produced. The green dial has the “Evolutive Tapisserie” pattern, with pink gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating.
The Ref. 26534TI.OO.1220TI.01 is produced in a limited edition of 50 and is made in titanium. This timepiece also features the green sunburst Tapisserie dial, radiating from the flying tourbillon cage, with white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating. The bracelet is made with the AP folding clasp, which features on the bracelets of all three new models.
Only 15 of the Ref. 26532IC.EE.1220TI.01 were manufactured. The Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon’s titanium case has an 18-carat white gold bezel set with baguette-cut emeralds echoing the green hues of the sunburst Tapisserie dial.
Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin
The 39mm “Jumbo” enhances the full 950 platinum case and bracelet as well as a smoked green dial enriched with a sunburst pattern. This is a first within the 15202 collection.
The sapphire caseback allows for a remarkable view of the selfwinding Manufacture Calibre 2121 fitted with a 22-carat gold oscillating weight. The smoked green dial has a sunray pattern base, with white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating.
This timepiece is complemented with a 950 platinum bracelet and AP folding clasp.
Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph
This watch features vibrant design and colour, the 18-carat yellow gold case complementing a green dial. The dial is enhanced with the brand’s “Grande Tapisserie” pattern and three snailed counters. The dial is designed with yellow gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating.
The model is fitted with a solid caseback engraved with “Limited Edition”, reflecting the fact only 125 pieces were made. Housed in a 41mm case, this version of the Royal Oak is powered by the selfwinding Manufacture Calibre 2385.
The yellow gold bracelet has the AP folding clasp plus, there are two additional straps included, in green rubber and green calfskin.
These new models are fine examples of the traditions of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak, with the green dials adding enough variety to make them stand out from other models.
